About the event
609 BYOT League is BACK!
These leagues are OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and all skill levels are encouraged to participate!
This Spring, we're changing things up a little bit. We're splitting the league into two divisions... Advanced and Novice.
PLAYERS MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN BOTH LEAGUES IN THE SAME SEASON.
THIS IS THE NOVICE LEAGUE.
The Advanced League will be Monday nights and the Novice League will be Tuesday nights.
Here's the twist, if your team finishes in the bottom 2 of the Advanced League standings at the end of the season, your team gets demoted to the Novice League. On the other hand, if you play in the Novice League and finish 1st or 2nd, your team gets promoted to the Advanced League.
The final standings for promotion and demotion are based on your regular season win/loss total COMBINED WITH your wins and losses from the playoffs.
If for some reason your team is promoted or demoted and you do not wish to adhere to that promotion/demotion, your team must sit out an 8-week season in order to re-enter a league.
League payouts are made to the playoff tournament winners and are as follows (based on all 16 spots being filled):
Advanced: 1st Place - $1,200; 2nd Place - $800; 3rd Place - $400
Novice: 1st Place - $800; 2nd Place - $500; 3rd Place - $300; 4th Place - $200; 5th Place - $100
Please sign up for the league you feel like you can competitively compete in. 609 Cornhole NJ directors may ask teams to change leagues if they feel that teams are unfairly signed up to a league.

FINALS RULES:
For the winner's bracket portion of the tournament, matches will be the best of 3.
Once your team is sent to the loser's bracket, all matches will be one game elimination matches.
In the championship match, the team from the winner's bracket will have to lose twice to be eliminated, while the team coming out of the loser's bracket will only need to lose once.
